Paula Modersohn-Becker (b. Dresden, Germany, 1876 – d. 1907, Worpswede, Germany) was a German painter and one of the most important representatives of early expressionism. She worked for many years in France. The Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum in Bremen, Germany, is the first museum in the world devoted to a female artist.
