Marija Ružička Strozzi (b. Litovel, Margraviate of Moravia, Austrian Empire 1850 – d.1937 Zagreb, Croatia) was a renowned Croatian actress, known as « the greatest tragedy performer in all of Slavic South ». When Strozzi was four months old, actor Josip Freudenreich recommended her father to Dimitrija Demeter, who invited him to join the Croatian National Theatre’s orchestra so the family left Litovel and moved to Zagreb.
