Park named after Pauline Chaponnière (Bern, Switzerland)

    Pauline Chaponnière-Chaix was born in Geneva in 1850. She devoted her life to women’s rights, social and humanitarian issues. In France, she was for more than one decade active as a deaconess. Returning to Switzerland, Pauline Chaponnière-Chaix acted energetically within both the Union des femmes in Geneva and the Swiss and international women’s movement.
