Park named after Veza Canetti (Vienna, Austria)

    Venetiana « Veza » Taubner-Calderon Canetti (b. Vienna, Austria 1897 –d. 1963, London, England) was an Austrian novelist, playwright, and short story writer. Her works were only published under her own name posthumously. She preferred pseudonyms, as was common at the time for left-wing or satirical authors, her favourite being Veza Magd (or Maid). She was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1897 into a Sephardi- Jewish family and after the Anschluss of Austria in 1938 she lived in exile in London, where she also published her works.
