Promenade named after Vesna Parun (Zagreb, Croatia)

    Vesna Parun (b. Zlarin, Croatia,1922 − d. 2010, Stubičke Toplice, Croatia) was a Croatian poet and translator. Parun went to school in Split, Biograd na Moru and Šibenik. She studied romanistics at the Faculty of of Humanities and Social sciences in Zagreb. From 1962 to 1967, she lived in Bulgaria, where she got married and divorced. During the Bulgarian years, she engaged in translation work and writing poetry. She wrote travelogues and made friendships with Bulgarian dissident intellectuals. After 1967 she returned to Yugoslavia.
