School named after Dora Pejačević (Našice, Crotatia)

    Dora Pejačević (b. Budapest, Hungary, 1885 – d. 1923, Munich, Germany) was a composer, pianist, and violinist. She was the first female Croatian composer and the composer of what scholars consider to be the first modern symphony in Croatia. Born in Budapest, she studied in Zagreb and traveled extensively, first with her family and then as a musician. She died in Munich.
