Sonia Delaunay was born Sarah Ilinitchna Stern (b. Hradyz’k, Ukraine, 1885 – d. Paris, France, 1979) was an artist, a painter who expanded her practice to textile, fashion and set design. She studied in Germany than established herself as in France.
