Statue of Princess Ksenija Petrović-Njegoš of Montenegro (Cetinje, Montenegro)

    Princess Ksenija Petrović-Njegoš of Montenegro (b. Cetinje, Montenegro, 1881 – d. 1960, Pairs, France ) had to leave the country with her family and the Government after the Montenegrin capitulation in 1916, when the Austro-Hungarian army entered Cetinje. She never returned to Montenegro, and died in exile in 1960, but until her death she helped and cared for her homeland. The statue is the work of Montenegrin artist Dimitrije Popović, and it was done in bronze. Ksenija is presented sitting on the bench. The statue was officially presented in public on November 13th 2022.
