Clara Haskil (b. Bucharest, Romania, 1895 – d. 1960, Brussels, Belgium) was a pianist. The street in Vevey, Switzerland, is where she lived and where a festival is held in her honour, the ‘Clara Haskil International Piano Competition’. She also lived in Austria and France. A Jewish during WWII, she found refuge in Switzerland.
