Street named after Anna Antonovskaya (Tbilisi, Georgia)

    Anna Antonovskaya (b. Tbilisi, Georgia , 1885 – d. 1967, Moscow, Russia) was a literary critic and the first woman to be awarded the Stalin Prize in Literature (1942). She spent her childhood and youth in the Caucasus. In 1916 she moved to Saint Petersburg but soon after the October Revolution, Antonovskaya returned to Georgia and settled in Tiflis. In 1922 Antonovskaya moved back to Moscow and started writing her most famous novel « The Great Mouravi ».
