Delphine Seyrig (b. Beirut, Lebanon, 1932 – d. 1999, Paris, France) was a French actress and director, born in Beirut. Her family moved from Lebanon to New York City when she was ten. She returned to Lebanon in the late 1940s, and later moved to France. A major theater actress, she was the heroine of the films of Alain Resnais, Luis Buñuel and François Truffaut in the cinema and was a figure of feminism in France.
