    Irène Némirovsky – in Russian: Ирина Леонидовна Немировская, Irina Leonidovna Nemirovskaïa (b. Kiev, Russian Empire, 1903 – d. 1942, Auschwitz-Birkenau, German-occupied Poland) is a French- speaking Russian novelist. A successful author in 1930s France but forgotten after World War II, she is the only writer to be awarded the Renaudot Prize posthumously in 2004 for her unfinished novel Suite française.
