Street named after Jelena Ćetković (Belgrade, Serbia)

    Jelena Ćetković (b. Cetinje, Montenegro, 1916 – d. 1943,  Belgrade, Serbia) was a Montenegrin and Yugoslav People’s heroine from WW2 and active fighter in the partisan army during the National liberation War (1941-1945). She moved to Belgrade, Serbia in 1938 where she joined the Communist Party of Yugoslavia. She fought actively in WW2 and was captured and assassinated in Banjica concentration camp in Belgrade on 14.5.1943.
