Street named after Marie-Thérèse Glaesener-Hartmann (Luxemburg, Luxemburg)

    Marie-Thérèse Glaesener-Hartmann (b. Luxemburg, Luxemburg, 1858 – d. Luxemburg, Luxemburg, 1923) was a Luxembourg painter, known for having painted prominent people of her time. She was one of the first women from Luxembourg to study abroad. When she was 19, she spent a year in Düsseldorf. Then she went to Munich for two years and later spent two years in Paris. At that time, it was not usual for young women from Luxembourg to spend years abroad and receive training from experts.
