Swimming pool named after Josephine Baker (Paris, France)

    Freda Josephine McDonald, known as Josephine Baker, (b. St. Louis, Missouri, USA, 1906 – d. 1975, Paris, France) was an American-born French singer, dancer, actress, showgirl and resistance fighter. She became French in 1937 after her marriage to Jean Lion, an industrial sugar broker, and lived in France till her death, though keeping links with the Civil Rights movements in her home country.
