Tomb of Constance Fenimore Woolson (Rome, Italy)

    Constance Fenimore Woolson (b. New Hampshire, USA, 1840 – d. 1894, Venice, Italy) was an American novelist. She is known for her local color stories of the American South as well as her Italian stories in which women feature prominently. She lived extensive periods of time in Italy, mainly in Florence and Venice as well as in England.
