WG4 addresses women migrants' social resources. Starting from studies on family migration, it aims to show the impact of migration on family units. It is conducting interviews and shooting documentary videos involving oral history with female migrant testimonies. WG4 is grounded on migrant networking, meso-level analyses, to understand women migrants’ social resources and specific networking processes. It investigates how individual female migration was eased by networking and community ties which are still today a major component of migration, and it also looks into the cross-cultural patterns of women as go-betweens, placement agencies and philanthropic associations. Its main objective is to release a documentary and filmed interviews.
